Objective
 

To instill children with love for nature and the environment by creating habits and skills in their artistic self-expression. The works submitted should have a creative and motivating character, representing the children‘s attitude to life in nature.

The theme of the competition is water in general; water and all its forms and states. A water drop, water in sea, mountain spring, lake, stream, dew, rain, water vapour, ice, snow. There is no life without water. Water doesn‘t know any borders. Water is irretrievable. Water yesterday and today. Do we know its power? How do we manage water?

Organisation and the Course of the Contest:
 

There are no preliminary rounds to this international contest. The works should be submitted directly, in person or by mail,  to the Slovak Environmental Agency in Banská Bystrica before 14 March 2003.

Categories of the Contest:

1.  Primary Schools

a)  children aged 10 and under

b)  children aged 11 to 15

2.  Extra-Curricular Primary Art Schools

a)  children aged 10 and under

b)  children aged 11 to 15

3.  Special Schools

a)  children aged 10 and under

b)  children aged 11 to 15

4.  Nursery Schools

Technical Terms of Participation:

The works must not be rolled up or folded. Please do not send works that are multi-dimensional, glazed or framed. The following information needs to be given on the back: author‘s name, age and address;  work title, year of origin (not more than 2 years old); name of the teacher, if the work was created in a school facility, and the address of the organisation submitting the work. Maximum format is A0. No limitations apply to the techniques used.

Collective works are not accepted.

The awarded authors and their teachers will be invited to the vernissage by a separate invitation.

The works will not be returned to the authors.

Prizes:

A main prize of the Green World and three prizes in each category will be awarded.
