BANSKÁ BYSTRICA (10. 2. 2012)
Just a few days have remained till the deadline for the submission of entry forms and films to the film competition at ENVIROFILM 2012. Up till now, the festival organisers received more than 150 entries from authors from 26 countries worldwide. Among them from Palestine that participates in the festival for the first time.
The pre-selection committee, which will meet at the beginning of March, shall see all the submitted films and select films for the International Jury. Besides the members of the International Jury (which shall meet one month before the festival), the selected films shall be projected during the festival week to festival spectators and visitors in eight Slovak cities. Recently, Košice joined the festival cities of Banska Bystrica, Zvolen, Banská Štiavnica, Kremnica, Krupina, Poltár and Skalica. This year for the first time the CFC Cinemas (Cultural Facilities Petržalka, Bratislava) will be screening, during the festival, award-winning films from the last ENVIROFILM as well as a block of competing films from this year’s festival.
Festival organisers have been preparing a rich accompanying programme, which traditionally includes events for children and youth.
