The Slovak Environmental Agency has been organising the 18th International Contest of Children’s and Youth’s Artistic Creativity - GREEN WORLD 2013 with the topic „My visions for a world I like“. The contest is an accompanying event of the 19th International Festival of Environmental Films ENVIROFILM 2013. It is organised in cooperation with the European Commission Representation in Slovakia under the patronage of the Slovak Commission for UNESCO and the European Environment Agency. Thematically it is linked with the European campaign " A world you like. With a climate you like." which was launched in London by Commissioner for Climate Change Connie Hedegaard.
The aim of the 18th International Contest of Children’s and Youth’s Artistic Creativity is to lead children, pupils and students to reflect on the quality of the environment in which they live and want to live and to transform their ideas and views in a work of art.
The competition is opened to students of all types of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in three main categories:
- Drawing, painting, graphics and combined techniques
- Children's animated film
- Black and white and colour photography.
Deadline for works sending is 28th March 2013.
